Fuck Yeah, a follower!

I’m still a bit queasy about the follower thing, whether it be on Tumblr or on twitter. I’m with Oscar Wilde there, who said,
“Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong.”

Surprisingly, I found that my everyday rants and small comments attract more followers than blogs on very popular subjects I’m hosting as well. (I keep those separated, as I don’t like leeching on a celeb’s success.) Needless to say, this flatters me greatly.

However, a big thank you to all my followers and subscribers, on WordPress and Tumblr!

Never has it been my aim to attract a vast followship — I appreciate every single one. Sheer mass is overrated, as is popularity.

  1. Heh, it seems to happens that way (little rants and small comments get the most hits) a lot indeed, matie. 😀 I don’t know why that is… Sometimes I wonder if today’s general shrinking of attention span has anything to do with it, but I also find the small everyday comments in blog posts rather interesting to read, especially when they’re made from people who seem different from me or one who live in places I’m not familiar with.

Anyhow! It’s always a treat dropping in here. You always have something interesting to say whether you know it or not! 🙂

  2. Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say — I would even say I tend to write about subjects whether I really know something about them or not to start with. 😛 Your blog is always delightful to read!
I don’t know, but I doubt there is a sinking attention span. After all no one tends to have problems to concentrate — and I mean REALLY concentrate — on a computer game for hours. Then, much depends on you habit of reading at all, and your skill in being able to skim something. Some do better than others in that, and long reads can be a little intimidating at times, I guess that’s all.
